Tracey Dick, PhD, RN, CNE, COI, CPPS is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. Her career as a registered nurse in Alabama has spanned a variety of practice environments including academia, critical care, physical rehabilitation, and primary care. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the VA Quality Scholars program and joined the Birmingham VAQS faculty team in November 2023. Her program of research focuses on the nursing workforce including supply/demand, models of care, and the value of nursing care to quality outcomes in health care. Dr. Dick currently serves as Co-Director of the VA Quality Scholars Program at Birmingham VA Medical Center and Director of VA-Focused Partnerships for the UAB School of Nursing.
